Welcome to Active Learning Student Exchange Program to Japan.
JECI is delighted to launch the Active Learning Student Exchange Program and excursions in India since 2017, connecting High school students in India with their counterparts from leading Japanese High schools. This initiative reflects the growing people-to-people engagement between Japan and India, strengthened by Japan's role as India's Global Strategic Partner in the 21st Century. Through the active learning methodology of Japan Education Center, students from both countries will share and learn each other's best educational practices, fostering mutual understanding. This program aims to cultivate true ambassadors who, armed with knowledge from their exchange, will represent and bridge the cultures of their respective countries for a lifetime.
What is Active Learning Student Exchange Program to Japan?
The Active Learning Program crafted by Japan Education Center And Information takes a progressive stride, emphasizing engagement in areas that prove beneficial for students in their daily lives.
Point # 1
Engaging in active learning, Indian students will actively participate alongside their Japanese counterparts in various aspects of Japanese school life. This experiential involvement includes learning about cleanliness, participating in crop harvesting, exploring different martial arts, and gaining an introduction to Japanese language and culture, among other activities.
Point # 2
Indian students will reciprocate by sharing their expertise in yoga, mathematics, IT skills, English, and aspects of Indian culture with their Japanese counterparts. In essence, it is a collaborative process wherein both Indian and Japanese students actively engage in exchanging knowledge with each other.
Point # 3
Active learning is centered around the learner, not the teacher, and goes beyond mere listening; active participation from each student is a crucial element in this approach. This method aids students in developing enduring higher-order thinking skills that will last a lifetime.
